Join the CEHD as we celebrate International Day on Wednesday, Feb. 19, for three afternoon sessions geared toward students and faculty who would like to know more about scholarly work abroad.
“This is a chance to showcase international scholarly work happening within the College,” said Bob Hill, dean of the College of Education and Human Development. “It will inspire not only our students and faculty but also the entire University community.”
All sessions will be held in the Lecture Bowl of the Education Building Room 7 on the UND campus.
“It’s very exciting to see the impact of international research and outreach conducted by our faculty in EHD,” said Cindy Juntunen, associate dean for research and graduate studies and a professor in the UND Department of Counseling Psychology and Community Services. “Bringing these experiences into the classrooms and discussions with students will hopefully inspire our students to begin to think globally about their own interests and future work.”
The schedule follows:

Speakers include Sagini Keengwe, associate professor in teaching and learning; Gary Schnellert, professor in educational leadership; Ashley Hutchison, assistant professor in counseling and community services; and Marcus Weaver-Hightower, associate professor and chair of educational foundations and research.
- 2:30 p.m. – BREAK
- 3 p.m. – Fulbright Discussion – Fulbright scholars, Richard Shafer, professor in Communications; and Christyne Vachon, assistant professor of the law school; will discuss the benefits and “how-to” of being a Fulbright scholar.
