UND theater students to perform the musical production A Chorus Line

The University of North Dakota Department of Theatre Arts will perform the classic musical A Chorus Line Nov. 14-16, 21-23, at the Burtness Main Stage Theater on the UND campus.

The show will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students.

A Chorus Line is a Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical that focuses on a group of dancers auditioning for a limited number of spots in a Broadway musical. The musical shows the trials and tribulations of artists seeking work in the challenging theatrical world.  Featuring the songs “I Hope I Get It,” “What I Did for Love,” and “One.” A Chorus Line offers a magical night of singing, dancing and drama that audiences will never forget!

It’s a backstage musical that shows the audience what it is like to be auditioning for a Broadway show, except those auditioning get more than they bargained for when Zach, the director/choreographer of the show, wants to know who the actors really are. After some protest the actors begin to open up and share their story and love of dance.

A Chorus Line is one of the most beloved Broadway musicals. This production features original choreography by Michael Bennett, modified by director Ali Angelone.
