U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp, an undergraduate alumna of the University of North Dakota, will speak with the UND School of Law and visit UND’s John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences UAS center to learn more about the education and exciting research being done at the university.

During her visit to the UND School of Law, Heitkamp will meet with 20 second and third-year law students. She also will talk about her time in the United States Senate, as well as her time as North Dakota’s Attorney General and Tax Commissioner.

Heitkamp also will stop at UND’s Center for UAS Research, Education and Training to discuss its latest research and work. The Center took a lead role in developing North Dakota’s application to become a UAS test bed site with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and has been critical in collaborating with Grand Forks Air Force Base and the Fargo Air National Guard, as well as private companies working on UAS initiatives.
