The University of North Dakota College of Business and Public Administration will host the 2nd Annual Morrison CEO Summit on Tuesday, April 16.
The annual Morrison CEO Summit, named after successful UND College of Business alumnus Dale Morrison, highlights the success of UND alumni and provides students the opportunity to network and interact with prominent business executives
This year’s event will begin at noon with an invitation-only executive leadership luncheon, providing a select group of students from the business school an opportunity to hear from five distinguished executives and UND Alumni in a panel discussion, followed by an afternoon of roundtable discussions with the panelists and business executives.
At 7 p.m., at the UND Gorecki Alumni Center, the general public is invited to the keynote presentation, “Leadership – Different But the Same,” by Duaine Espegard. Espegard is a retired bank administrator and former state senator. He worked for Bremer Bank as a bank director, chief executive officer and regional president from 1969 to 2003 and served in the North Dakota Senate from 2000 to 2006.
Espegard currently serves as the president of the State Board of Higher Education for the North Dakota University System.

About Dale Morrison:
Dale Morrison received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from UND. Morrison began his distinguished career at General Foods, where he spent 10 years in sales and marketing positions of increasing responsibility. He then spent 14 years with PepsiCo in general management assignments in the US, Canada and the UK. In 1995, Morrison joined the Campbell Soup Company as President of the Pepperidge Farm division, and shortly thereafter, he assumed responsibility for Campbell’s International business.
In 1997, he was promoted to President and CEO, a position he held until 2000. Morrison joined McCain Foods Limited in 2004 from Fenway Partners, a New York private equity firm with a consumer branded focus. Morrison provided strategic guidance and board-level leadership at Fenway and its portfolio companies. Morrison is a board member of International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. and Inter¬Continental Hotels Group. He is also the chairman of the Center for Innovation Board at UND.
Morrison co-founded TriPointe Capital Partners, a middle market private equity firm based in New York City in 2011. Prior to founding TriPointe Capital Partners, Morrison served seven years as the CEO and President of McCain Foods Limited, an international leader in the frozen food industry employing 20,000 people and operating 53 production facilities in 140
countries on six continents.
A privately owned company headquartered in Canada, McCain has annual sales of more than $6.5 billion. The company’s products can be found in restaurants and supermarket freezers in more than 130 countries around the world. McCain also owns Canada’s leading transportation company, the Day & Ross Group.
Morrison considers UND a leading academic institution that he continues to support through his volunteer efforts. Morrison and his wife, Barbara, are the parents of two grown children, Andrea and Mark.
