Public Input Meeting To Be Held On Nov. 29 To Discuss Recommendations To Improve Traffic On University Avenue

The Grand Forks – East Grand Forks Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) has scheduled a Public Input Meeting from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (CDT) and from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at the River Valley Room in the Memorial Union.  The purpose of the Public Input Meeting is to provide the public an opportunity to review and comment on draft recommendations to improve the traffic on University Avenue for all modes – vehicle, bus, bike and pedestrians.  Representatives from UND and the MPO will be on hand to answer your questions and discuss your concerns.

The Public Input Meeting will utilize an open house format where people can come and go during these times.  No formal presentation is scheduled.  Rather, staff is available to take your input and provide answers to questions.

The draft recommendations are coming from the UND/Grand Forks Transportation and Traffic Coordination Committee.  The Committee comprises UND student representatives, UND faculty and staff from both UND and City of Grand Forks, along with staff from the MPO.  The Committee Chair is Peggy Lucke, Associate Vice-President for Finance and Operations.
