Women and Gender Studies kicks-off 30th Anniversary celebration Today, Oct. 1

The University of North Dakota Women and Gender Studies program, formerly Women Studies, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2012-13.

Today the program will kick off a fundraising effort, “30 at 30,” with a reading by one of the first people to graduate with a Women Studies minor, Sharon Rezac Andersen. The event will also be the launch of her new book, “The Burden of Knowing,” an account and analysis of her involvement in peace work in Nicaragua during the revolution.

Please join the celebration: Monday from noon to 1 p.m. at the UND International Centre, along University Avenue.
