Space Studies hosts landing party for Mars Curiosity rover Sunday

The Department of Space Studies and the UND Observatory are hosting a public event and open house on Sunday, Aug. 5, heralding the arrival of the NASA Mars Curiosity rover to the surface of Mars. Activities and presentations will occur in 210 Clifford Hall and in the hallway outside the auditorium from 7 p.m. until approximately 1 a.m.. Activities will include live video/audio feeds from the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), faculty and student presentations on various Mars topics, games and activities for children, and displays featuring space suits, meteorites, and more!
