The University of North Dakota University Children’s Center (UCC) will host its fifth annual silent auction at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 31, at the children’s center. It will run until 9 p.m.
With the focus on sustainability, the event’s theme is “Growing up Green with UCC.” Auction items include activities and services from local businesses, as well as art and pottery. Attendees also have the opportunity to bid on dinner with UND President and First Lady Robert and Marcia Kelley, and dinner with Mayor Mike Brown. All proceeds will be used to purchase environmentally friendly playground accessories at the Children’s Center. The event is open to the public.
The UCC has a long tradition of serving children and families, both on campus and from the Greater Grand Forks community. The Center is a licensed pre-school and childcare facility for children 18 months to 12 . During the summer, children in first through fifth grades also are eligible to enroll. The Children’s Center works to provide quality, educational childcare in keeping with best practices in the field of early childhood development, offers experiential learning opportunities for UND students and provides a research site to increase knowledge about families and young children.
Tickets for the event are $15 for community members and $10 for UCC parents. Purchase tickets at the UCC, located at 525 Stanford Rd, or contact Jo-Anne Yearwood at 701.777.3947, or at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
