A Martin Luther King Day observance will be held Monday afternoon at the University of North Dakota. The University will be closed in honor of the day.
The activities begin with a march around the UND campus. Those who wish to participate are invited to meet at 2:30 p.m. in the Era Bell Thompson Multicultural Center for coffee and tea. Participants are reminded to dress appropriately for winter condition.
Following the march, a mass meeting hosted by the Christus Rex Center will be held from 3-6 p.m. A meal will be served.
The Martin Luther King Day events are sponsored by the Black Student Association, the UND Office of Multicultural Student Services, the UND Department of Geography and the Christus Rex Center.
